Sharon has been practicing as an RMT since 2000.

Over the years, she has found she especially enjoys working with women aged 55+, helping them return to a healthy and active lifestyle.

Sharon strives to keep life light through humour as she acknowledges she is a member of this age group herself. She understands how difficult it can be to return to a pain free lifestyle when having sustained multiple overuse injuries resulting in chronic pain. Overuse injuries can compound over time and therefore require longer healing times to achieve full recovery. As women age, hormones play an integral role in tissue health and injury recovery.

Sharon aimes to educate and empower her clients to move in a safe manner by helping them understand that movement doesn’t always mean pain. Her treatments include modifications to painful movements that create the same efficacy in strength and mobility pain free.

She incorporates manual techniques such as Dermoneuromodulation that targets the central nervous system through the skin and retrains the brain to move with ease and comfort throughout the healing process. Sharon focuses on establishing a safe treatment environment through intuitive touch through a holistic approach.

Sharon believes that all movement no matter how small, depends on well-hydrated connective tissue which is very reactive to massage and manual therapies such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, and dermoneuromodulation techniques.

She is extremely passionate about providing an avenue for these women to begin or continue living a pain free active lifestyle, whichever type of activity feels best for them in their bodies.

In her spare time, sharon loves to garden, hot tub, spend time with her family and hike with her dog.
